Deal Details

For those of you who took part in ordering the 42" Sharp television on Black Friday night from Best Buy's mobile site for $199.99 and had your orders canceled there is still a glimmer of hope.

After having my order canceled I descided it was OK to contact customer service since they had already caught on to the mistake. After making several phone calls I got in touch with the corporate offices: 612-291-1000.

I explained the situation and the representative got in touch with some advanced customer service rep and they offered me the following deal...

LG - 42" Class / 1080p / 120Hz / LCD HDTV for $199.99

Which I think is a better TV than the Sharp!

Needless to say I jumped on the deal and it is being delivered to my house on 12/14!

Once again this is very very YMMV, I think the key is to get a good service rep, as it always is.

I just got a case # from the last rep and the called the Corp #. Told them I had a case # I needed to escalate she transferred me. Some guy answered and I told him what was going on and said I couldn't wait the 3-5 days. He transfered me to the "Online Center" where I spoke with *****- she said they ARE REPLACING IT WITH AN LG 42" 120hz for people who have a CANCELED ORDER #!

So here is the # to call- 866-857-7970
Tell them you are calling about your 42" TV order that was canceled and they will say YES WE ARE AWARE OF THIS!

ITS DEAD ALL OVER..THEY ARE NOT HONORING ANY REQUESTS FOR ANYTHING. However, try to get some GC or something or if you can convince them for replacement but your chance to get anything after Thursday 4pm EST is 0.001%

Tried in-store, went to look for manager but this dumb employee called himself a manager(he was just a regular BB sales man) and ruined my plan!...anyways here is my plan: go to best buy pick up bunch of expensive small items like ipad or laptop (of course with high credit line CC and this is optional!) if you bill is huge you can claim that you are longtime big client of BB. Go to manager DO NOT discuss it with anyone else. Be polite and request manager by showing your email print out saying when called BB.com they asked me to contact you. show the receipt below as proof that my friend got this deal so can I? or can i get any further discount on TVs. if you get the deal return items unopened next day or something...if you dont then return other items right on his/her face! Don't be rude at all no matter what as you may ruin chance for others. this is just an idea and just like this deal its very YMMV. post your outcome here!

It sounds like most people have been gunning for corporate or customer relations. (IMO) The sales department is the best one to try. 2 reps from there have helped me out... not sure about customer relations or general customer support. Just letting you know that 2 different reps from that dept immediately processed it for me.

Also I included my order # in the screenshots below.

Did you have to give them an order number? If not, I may try this...
Edit: Just tried it, they said since I did not officially order it they wouldn't honor it.

What's stopping ppl that just saw the deal but couldn't get in on the deal to try for this... Aka anyone since they'd be no paper trail
