I made a number of DVD/ BLU-RAY purchases over the last month that came with those free $5/$3 credits towards Amazon Instant Videos....most expire in the next 30-60 days.

However, looking today they have a lot of relatively new titles available for rent for $0.99...and once you "rent it", you don't have to start the rental period for another month.

My experience with HD vs SD is the HD is clearly superior. That said, the SD is passable.

On a computer... maybe. I run these through an App on my TV and there is a serious difference between SD and HD when you start running them on a larger TV, even good ones.

I'm just hoping when I check these out that the HD is only a dollar more like normal. If so, this is a sweet deal for some of these since I don't have to go out at night in this shitty Midwest weather.

I was wondering what to use those credits on. Good find. I haven't used the Amazon Instant Video service before so we'll see how it goes.
