President Obama's slow ride down Gallup's daily presidential job approval index has finally passed below Jimmy Carter, earning Obama the worst job approval rating of any president at this stage of his term in modern political history.

I could believe that, I turn off the tv whenever he appears on it.

The only saving grace is, as much as I dislike Obama, I dislike the Republicans worse.

You also have to figure in that if Obama were white, then blacks would hate Obama too, thus lowering Obamas approval rating even more.

730 days into their presidencies, Reagan was at 35% approval vs. Obama's 50% approval. [gallup.com]

And HW Bush hit a low of 29% which Obama has not come near.

Of course the only poll that counts is in Nov, 2012.

how convenient that you pick that point where it happens to be a high point for Obummer and a low point for Reagan, ignoring the rest of the chart...

see my previous post which compares apples to apples (same point in re-election bid) as detailed in the OP, rather than your apples to oranges cherry picked number of 730 days...why not pick 1027 days where Obummer is 43% and Reagan in 53%?

Really? Did he choose apples to oranges? Did he choose different days for different presidents?

You wanna know the mother of all apples and oranges: comparing polls from relatively good times to a time when the whole world in in shithole (thanks to W and neocons).

Why not do for example look at the popularity of the prez vs popularity of the congress for two presidents?

BTW: McConnell said his number one priority (above the debt, the deficit, the economy, job situation, national security, wars, etc) was to make sure Obama is a one term president. How is that working for you guys?
