Problem with InnoTab by vtech
My boy "did something" (nothing physical that I can tell) with his InnoPad that changed the screen calibration. Screen is not sensitive where the icons are, but rather up and right from where they are.. so if you saw:ABC DEF icons, you'd touch B to get D.. I tried pulling out the battery (the rounf battery under the cover inside the main battery compartment). All that did for me is reset the pad to allow me to enter 1st user and date.. but the screen is still not sensitive where it ought to be. As a matter of fact, the date setting menu that came up the first time, only allows me to push down-arrow, as long as I'm hitting about an inch above them.. Any idea how to fix this, short of taking it back to the store? Where da' white wymyn at? ![]() |

Called Customer Support and they said....
Hi, I know I'm replying to an old post, but it might help someone else who is having the same issue. I was having the same issue with my innotab, so I called customer support and they said:1. Go to learning lodge navigator software and connect innotab. Then use the "update my innotab" button on the left to run the update. They said it was designed to recalibrate the screen too. Try it out. If that doesn't help: 2. Take the batteries out of the toy and press and hold the power button for 1 minute. (Awkward silence on the phone for 1 minute.....). Then put batteries in and start it up again. Try the screen again. If that doesn't help: 3. Call customer support and they will probably send you a new innotab. Use the 1 year warranty it comes with!! Here's the number since I have it handy - 1.800.521.2010. Good luck!

To reset touch screen calibration, you need to turn the tablet OFF. Then hold , and down when turning the tablet ON.
