Check the "universal plug", it has a twist off plug for different countries. Lame if you ask me and others have had the same problem.

my TP starts to freeze up very often in the past 3 weeks. I would use it for 10 minutes then it happens. sometimes, it's only about 2-3 minutes apart.
I have 3.0.5 version. anyone has this same problem? HP says to get hpweb doctor to update the software to 3.0.5, which is what i already have, to fix the problem. they also offered to replace my hp with another one though.

do you TP owners spend your websufing time on these devices? i'm so accustomed to using firefox on laptops with ad/privacy assurance apps like adblock plus, googlesharing, etc...

there's so much social media tracking that i can block on a PC webbrowser that you cant even on a blackberry as far as i know...

how's the extent of privacy when using one of these TPs, whether you stick w/ the stock webOS browser or move on with installing another OS?

Firefox is available for Android as well as Chrome (Beta) now available for Android. Both allow the use of extensions. Not sure if they are all compatible but if you list a few I can check for you.

okay thx, the main one is the ABP aka ad block plus for firefox, it exists for chrome as well.

anyone know how long the warranty runs? I now have an issue where the screen is insanely dark and barely readable as well as flickering madly. Unusable. When I put the product # in to get to be able to email support is comes up as 'that's not found'. I emailed the pre-buying support telling them that they blocked me out of emailing support and asking for an email for the proper department but I'm so confused at this point. HP site is a giant maze.

1 year warranty.

Not true, sigh. The warranty ended on 03/19/12. There is no 1 year warranty. It will cost $236 to fix a hardware issue (which I have).

I paid $150 for three months of a Touchpad. Regret doesn't even come close enough to what I'm feeling.

New warranty should be 1 year. If you bought it refurbished, then that is usually shorter

Refurb is 90 days...You should know this when you purchase it. As for what you can do, try your credit card company to protect you...some double the warranty, not sure what policy on refurbs are but I think it doubles that too...

For some reason I thought it was 1 yr. Our dell refurbs and camera refurbs were all 1 yr for hardware/device malfunction. I'm trying to scramble and win something or sell something to replace it now, it was my 5 yr. old's christmas present and he keeps asking for it
