ATF used "Fast and Furious" to make the case for gun regulations The ATF simply used Fast and Furious as an excuse for the new regulation. So, as we gun rights advocates suspected all along, Fast and Furious was used to justify new gun regulations. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31727...egulations excerpts:

1. If they're reporting voluntarily, requiring it would not add burdens. 2. More than likely it's ones who aren't reporting voluntarily that are the ones selling to drug cartels. Last edited by burninator; 12-07-2011 at 07:14 PM.. |

The thread is about the ATF using FF for BS, but there's actually bigger things afoot when it comes to "lots of bad guys in Mexico are using guns from the U.S. so we need more laws for personal gun sales." http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-50020...g-cartels/

Btw, the ATF and DOJ and other BS ABC 123 agencies want new laws like the multiple rifle regulation law because it is illegal to keep a gun registration database of U.S. citizens. But via things like this and their e-Trace gun-tracing programs, which is used internationally and your personal info is available to corrupt governments like Mexico if you didn't know, they basically can keep a database and your personal info without really keeping a database and personal info. I mean, it is a database, but it's supposedly not a gun registration database.
And when they talk about "crime-traced guns" or the like, those numbers generally include ANY gun traced. So if you are carrying and get arrested for jaywalking, and then they run your gun, guess what, your gun just added to the number of "traced crime guns." Oh, and if it wasn't before, now your gun is included in the e-Trace gun registry that isn't really a registry.

2. There's not even a shred of evidence to support your ridiculous suggestion. Last edited by hsjpatman; 12-07-2011 at 08:01 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Certainly some might be but its a small percentage and there are other factors that make them suspicious. Nice try at avoiding the point that you fully misunderstood what he said. But I'm not surprised as that seems to be your MO lately.
One can't expect you to recognize when others understand or misunderstand even rudimentary logic. Last edited by hsjpatman; 12-07-2011 at 09:19 PM.. |

But I've never seen you admit that either.

Of course, that will still do nothing to all the criminals who just steal guns or otherwise illegally obtain them, but since when do actual results matter. |

And that a lot of those illegal attainments are from straw buyers at gun shows. |
