Well, it's highly unlikely that a student in a college will know all of what their researchers are doing.

what a JOKE.

My store had an area on the shelf that could MAYBE hold 10-15 bottles (promo had a limit of 4 per person) and they were instantly OOS. They clearly did not augment their stock at all to support the number f people looking to get some cheap oil. i showed around 1:30 and it was cleaned out (not surprising as it would have only taken 4-5 customers). In the background i could hear an employee already explaining the situation and apologizing to a couple of curious customers as to where to find the olive oil.

This was pretty bad, almost bait & switch territory. We were going to buy more stuff (the whole purpose for them, re: loss leaders) but that pissed us off. Left without buying anything.

Oh well, i know better for next time. I didnt think about showing early and stashing some, or waiting around for an hour with them in my cart. Maybe im getting old.

They substituted Santini (750ml) (which according to the sale people is twice the price) at my local store.

I went today and they were out but they subsituted a larger 750ml of Olympia-Xenia Greek evoo for $1.99. I think it was worth $8 a bottle. Really nice.

Just so you know...

The people at World Market are really nice. I bet if you had asked for a rain check or substitute item they would have gladly assisted you. Also of the stuff at WM is a good deal, but what keeps me coming back is the combo of good deals and great customer service.

maybe at your store. the employee turned away the two other nice customers asking for the oil, and he didn't help substitute or provide any other resolution. this has happened before at this particular store when they had the coffee promo. consider yours a 'good' store.
