The BF deal was awesome but this is better than nothing. You 'd be hard pressed to find a better prepaid phone than the Optimus V. The service is always YMMV but I've been using it for about 6 months now with good results.

I bought a Samsung Intercept for my GF (on Amazon for $44 on BF) and I can say it's a POS. I have an Optimus V and I love it (running CM7).

i bought a bad esn samsung intercept from ebay for 40 bucks just to see if it was any good. it is a piece of crap! pay a little more and get the optimus v or the slider. even with a new rom and overclock it was still slow as molasses.
(i bought the optimus v a month after it came out at target for $130 + $20 GC, then Virgin did an across the board price increase from $149.99 msrp to $199.99, i decided to sell my Optimus V on amazon and made a nice profit )

Optimus V is $65 at Best Buy right now.

Paid $128 for the Motorola Triumph at VM 2 weeks ago. Tough missing that sale if you were in the market to switch carriers or upgrade the phone.
