Is this better/worst than Fry's/Amazon 55LW5600?

Is there tax for CA?

I bought this bundle on Black Friday. Absolutely LOVE this TV. 3D quality is ridiculous and the 2d-3d conversion on the fly is pretty slick. The only bad point to make is the speakers are horrible but this isn't really a con IMO because it is a super thin, light TV and these days you should really have a soundbar or surround. Also this has a USB port in the back that can play a ton of different formats including MKV BD Rips.

Amazon deal was 1150 shipped for a better tv. (higher contrast + smart tv).

You won't get a blu-ray player but most people have a ps3 or a blu-ray player anyway.

the speakers are less than awesome, but with the savings you get here you could pick up a soundbar/sub combo or 5.1 for a couple hundred bucks!

Comparisons in realworld tests by TelevisionInfo, the 5300 actually had better contrast than the 5600: http://www.televisioninfo.com/con...LW5600.htm

I didn't care about smart TV (have other devices that'll do that for me), so as soon as the 47" was $799, I jumped on it and got the 5300 deal. Had been waiting out for a 5600 deal for the better contrast, but this convinced me I didn't need the 5600. Moving in a couple of weeks and the wife wouldn't let me open it until we move, so can't comment on it yet.
