Yes, with mSATA, one can use two internal drives in a laptop.

Yeah I think I'm going to wait til the 128GB model can be had for ~$100.
The Intel 80GB is even more expensive and 80GB probably isn't enough for all my everyday work + hobby stuff. Win7 , office, some adobe tools , 3d modeling tools, programming tools, hardware dev tools, matlab, game dev tools, etc, all those tools add up real fast; 80GB won't even leave any room for games, and that is if I store most if not all the non-essential libs on the mechanical drive. It will be a tough decision for me to decide what to keep on the ssd, and when installation time comes, ah shitsnacks... I don't even want to think about having to reconfigure everything, and the price right now is definitely not helping, even the considerably more affordable mydigitalssd models.

Well, my x220 isn't slow by any means for most things I do, I guess I can wait another 6 months.

installed Win 8 customer preview (32 bit) on this drive in a cr-48 - and it flies!!!

power on to desktop in 10 seconds flat!

got about 18Gb to spare after installing the OS.
