I was searching for birthday freebies and came across this thread. I thought I would add my two cents for those with dual citizenship or relatives in foreign countries who might like a greeting.

during the Bush administration I got one for each of my boys without signing up. I figured maybe when the birthcertificate was filed they automatically sent it? The card also had an immunization chart to write the dates in.

These are nice to tuck in the baby book. I have two greetings from the Reagan's....one when I got married (sent them an invite) and the other was when my son was born. At that time they sent a card and autographed 8x10 photo of themselves.

When my Aunt turned 80 I sent her a White House greeting from GW Bush. She called me up and asked me if I put her name in for it then gave me hell. (She's a staunch democrat)
