amazon has it for $1,399 and free shipping with prime. After Texas taxes it's about the same price. Amazon doesn't include the glasses though. Both are great prices.

Plasma 3d (.001ms) vs LCD Led 3d (120hz-240hz)
Why does this matter with 3D TV viewing? For the simple reason that LCD TVs will typically not be able to show 3D content in full HDTV 1080p. Through some light math and experimentation, our best estimates come in at about 600 lines of effective resolution (less than 720p) capability for a 120Hz LCD HDTV, and 700 to 800 lines of effective resolution for a true 240Hz LCD TV. Plasma technology has the speed to delivery the full 1080 lines of resolution to each eye. Last edited by woomer051; 12-18-2011 at 07:56 PM.. |

As someone who bought the UN55D6500, returned it for the LC 55LW5600 (to save $225), and then returned that for the UN55D6500, I totally disagree. The only edge I would give to the LG is that the use of and interface with the internet apps is much better than the Samsung (and it has Amazon). That said, I always use my PS3 or XBOX for internet-related stuff anyway. |

How does the picture look with the Xbox 360? Im trying to decide between this television or the 55 inch samsung 240hz smarttv thats $1000 more now thanks to this cheap price. |

can you elaborate on this some more? Are you saying typical LCD 3d tv is 720p? I really like 3d and believe it will gain momentum. the tv i buy i want to be able to maximize the 3d affect should it continue to grow. I would like a true 1080p in 3d. |

Phenomenal. I almost moved up to the 240hz 7000 model, but, from talking to Fry's manager and reading posts on here, I decided it wasn't going to do anything for gaming. Totally impressed with the picture with one caveat - there are clouds in the blacks that you can read about in the Amazon reviews. That was one of the reasons I returned it the first time. (However, the LG had the "flashlight" effect in addition to clouding, which I thought was much worse.) After calibrating my settings (I basically used the settings a guy posted in the Amazon reviews), the cloud effect is negligible. Very happy with my purchase. |

Never get Samsung,
I just had the D6000 which was a deal when I had it, but turns out horrible banding and bleeding from the four corners of TV, for LED TV the flashlighting is a big techincal obstacle, unless you want Plasma, some research would tell you I end up returned it and got myself happiess with LG LW5600 with 3D, which ias IMO better quality built than Samsung |
