I saw that yesterday.....no good cameras unfortunately.

The p7000 is an older model and has pretty slow operation speed but a great price.

These are good prices if the specific camera is there

Panasonic DMC-ZS9 comes out to $118, $10 less than last hot deal for this camera.

The Fuji F505 is about as good as it gets for a pocketable superzoom and the only one I can think of that has RAW capability

The P7000 isn't that old. It came out late 2010 IRRC. Anyway, its replacement, P7100, recently came out, which is why it's cheap now. At it's original $500 price point, the P7000 couldn't compete with similarly priced G12. However, at this price, it's a great enthusiast's camera. If I hadn't just bought an S95 a couple weeks ago, I'd be all over this. TU, though.

Though I don't really need another camera, I'm curious about the DMC-ZS9 for its 16x optical zoom. Anyone have any experience with it?

P7000 is very slow operationally. Rather have the g12 which had been available from frys for $299.

Had a zs9 and zs3..... Photo quality is just ok. I have a gf2 but going to look for a deal on the s100.

Seems like a great deal, 1/1.7" sensor, HD movie mode, and AF and zoom for movies. Is there a better camera at this price point?

And, I agree the G12 is a much better camera than the P7000. However, the going rate is almost $170 more. All I was saying is that the P7000 is an excellent camera for $211.
