lol @ at the original price. anyway dont meant to threadcrap, was going to say that when it comes to buying a graphic card, I think warranty should be very important. With that being said, i highly doubt that bensoutlet is an authorized retailer, which means their products will not come with manufacturer's warranty. You guys should be careful, not to mention that these kinda small companies would do anything to sell their products. I wouldn't be surprised to see them trying to sell a refurbished/opened-box item as a brand new item.

Um, am I missing something or is the Sapphire 6870 @ amazon a *MUCH* better deal? (165 FSSS - $20 rebate = 145 eventually) plus it's a new sapphire card so you get a proper warranty.)

The difference is negligible

All cards:
20. Radeon HD5870 1GB
21. GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB
22. GeForce GTX 470 1280MB
23. Radeon HD6870 1GB

The GTX cards are at LEAST $50 more, the Radeon cards are about the same price. In some systems and some games the 6870 outperforms the 560 Ti, which is why benchmarks are not always your best friend. That puts them at #20 and #21 in some situations (namely, mine).

Dual cards:
4. Radeon HD6870X2 2GB
5. Radeon HD5870X2 4GB

If you got 2 of either one, performance is neck and neck...and that's with the 2GB version of the 5870, which this thread is not about.

You're now looking at paying maybe $5 more for a decent vendor, a real warranty, support, etc. the performance hit is negligible.

There is no warranty. If you buy an OEM AMD card there is no warranty unless the seller claims to offer their own warranty (which you could argue in most cases if they advertise a warranty but why even bother)
