I have that remote too, it was sold under Adesso brand by Newegg a few years ago. There are 4 differences: 1) It has cursor pad. It is not a touch pad like on a laptop, but a pressure sensitive button that when you press it the cursor moves in that direction. 2) It is $0.50 more 3) Amazon charges sales tax in NY. 4) The remote on Amazon uses proprietary IR codes, so if you were planning on using the dongle with other remotes, it may not work. Rosewill uses Microsoft standard RC-6 dongle IR codes. I actually switched to Harmony, but the codes were not there for the Adesso remote, luckily, Harmony can learn the codes. |

Dang I would've picked this up if I hadn't gotten the HP MCE IR receiver from ebay earlier in the week. For those who have a Logitech Harmony follow the following setup to get the IR receiver working
Logitech Harmony Programming [logitech.com] I followed these steps and it works well with the HDHomerun Prime that I picked up during BF. |
