Refurbished Apple TV 1st Gen 160 GB B&M Limited Availablity at Best Buy $79.99!

Best Buy has a Refurbished 1st Gen Apple TV with a 160 GB hard drive in stores only B&M for 79.99 !

This appears to be limited availablity as any stores near Minneapolis, MN are unavailable but thought I would post to see if someone else could take advantange. Prices on apple website were $129.99 prior to being sold out and other stores range anywhere in price from $100 - $400.

It is larger, runs hotter, and won't be updated anymore. Perhaps it may be decent for someone who specifically wants to mod it, but most new development on that front is going to the v2 as well.

the new version doesn't have any local storage so i see the 160 GB hard drive as something to consider

I got a open box ATV2 for $89.99 last Friday from BB.. There rep assured me it was in great condition. Of course once I got home and looked at it. It had food particles on the controller and scratches all over the reciever. So I took it back and showed her. She ended swapping it for a brand new one at no extra cost..

That being said if ATV2 with open box is 89.99 and the brand new one is $99. Why would u want the old model just to save $10..

Both are great in my opinion, and both have their good and bad points. Apple TV's as they are don't hold a candle when it's stock to the possibilities that a jailbroken one has. XBMC, IceFilms, FastPass TV, etc make it an amazing product and a must have in my opinion.

Worked excellent for majority of stuff. Only issue I had with it is it wasn't able to handle streaming 1080P content from my WHS, which is fairly understandable, and listed in the XBMC notes. Very nice product when using with XBMC though.
