I'm kind of disappointed that no one wants to talk about a $3 million dollar signing bonus in the midst of dozens of layoffs being a good thing.
The truth: Management at IRS can blame themselves and how they have chaotic and poor management, but God-forbid you, or I, or anybody else in America gets audited and doesn't have their ducks in order and s***-together, your ass is going to court or jail.
Shout out to Congressman Mike Kelly for stating it as it is... Link [realclearpolitics.com] |

Oh, I know. Jay Leno had to cut 20 people off of his staff. He's still taking home a nice $27-$30 million dollars per year. Of course, 99.9% of CEOs in America don't get that kind of yearly compensation, but do you expect President Obama or the NY Times to be honest about that? |

Well, the NY Times has been one of the more critical media outlets of excess CEO compensation with liberal op-ed writers like Paul Krugman.
When the NY Times has been having annual or bi-annual lay-offs for the last couple of years, how is a $3 million dollar signing bonus with so many people losing their jobs justified? Anyone? |

Got any? |

But I have no idea why NYT paid this woman so much. I read the paper for its reporting, and for Krugmam, Dowd and Kristoff. I doubt her work was worth 150x their salaries. |

It's unclear where anybody ever got the idea that a free market results in low prices when the entire point of capitalism is to maximize profit and low prices are less profitable. Therefore the natural proclivity should be to collude and fix prices at the highest sustainable point.
Oh, it's illegal to collude and fix prices and whatnot as deemed by the gubmint? Who are they to say how a free market should work when it's a matter of divinity per Adam Smith whose book nobody bothered to read? |
