Here's what it says when you click on "Details" next to the gift card order int he cart:

"$10 GiftCard with purchase of a select qualifying item. Not valid on the purchase of gifts cards or previous orders. The price of the item will be allocated between the GiftCard and the item so that the item price reflects the refund value of the qualifying item. GiftCard will be sent to the same address as your order and ships separately. Offer expires 12/24/2011 at 11:59pm ET"

I think Target adds $10 to your order for the gift card and then subtracts it as a promotion in order to achieve a free gift card. I think you'll still get a gift card in the mail.
