CVS (AZ, CA, IL, MI, NM, NV): Beringer wine $1.35/ea for 12, $1.43/ea for 6 after MIR

Berenger rebate showed up in the CVS insert in todays paper for us in Northern CA.

Can you get the flyer in the store? or do I have to buy a newspaper or something?

This doesn't work out the same in Arizona. As the Beringer wines here are "on sale" at CVS for $5.49 a bottle. So following your math example above, it comes out to $2.69 a bottle plus sales taxes.

In my region (southern California) they are only in the mailed circulars -- mostly in newspapers, etc. If you are unsure you can call your local CVS and ask if they have them. Ask your friends if they got the CVS ad in the mail if you didn't!

Technically although the rebate did come from the CVS ad, it does not stipulate anywhere that it has to be purchased at CVS. Up to you if you want to take that risk, though...

That's correct, it's their California Collection only for the best deal. I picked up six bottles total, two white zin, one chard, two cab sauv, one chenin blanc.
Edit: like gaijin4life, my CVS store in Southern California had a Beringer display as well, which had more wine varieties, which were not in the wine aisle.

Look around the store. In our store, there was no Beringer White Zinfandel on the shelf - sold out. BUT around the store, they had stacks of cases on different aisles with a display of...the Beringer white Zinfandel. So I got a sealed case of it and left two. I can't believe ours is the only CVS that does this, so it may be in stock at yours, just not in the normal place.

I was at Ralph's today; they're having a 30% off all wines when you buy 6 (mix and match). I'm sorry I don't recall the precise math, but if you bought 6 Beringer wines, you'd save approximately 30 cents per bottle versus buying it at CVS (which is what I had done). Just another option As the OP said, the rebate doesn't specify WHERE you have to buy the wines.

YMMV this puppy. What a waste of time, yet one more reason i don't like CVS. I went to 2 stores with liquor sections. This itself was not an easy feat because the Store Locator on their website refuses to specify which stores have liquor sections. Anyway, neither had any sign of $3.99 Beringers. I can't very well fault them for that, but there are $4.49 Beringers advertised in the circular of which they had only a couple of bottles at most in one variety.

I can report the in-store circulars by me have the same MIR as the Sunday paper insert, so you should be able to stop in for a free form and use it for wine purchased elsewhere.

In Norcal, the rebate form is included in the instore ads. However, when I went there today, the beringer prices on the shelf show 2 for $9. Forgot to check if these are not the 'California collection' that shows in the ad for 2 for $8. Decent deal either way though, with the rebate.

I got an email that my rebate was rejected, based on the program dates 11/20/2011 - 12/31/2012. As the OP stated, the dates on the ad showed 11/20/2011 - 1/7/2011 for the same program number. I called and they were very nice but have no access to my actual materials and want me to fax in a copy showing this discrepancy. Does anyone have the later ad scan please?
