You can only recycle up to 5 cartridges max for the 3x bonus, unless you use a different rewards account.

This promo which expires 2/25/12 gives you $10 per cart for up to 3 generic HP carts when you buy HP ink. Can only do this promo one time only. Requires special SKU for the carts.

I have never recycled ink at staples so please tell me if this scenario sounds right. I will buy $100 in ink, with $75 (because of rebate) of it being HP and $25 being whatever, and then use the 20/100 ink coupon. (Or do I need it to be $100 of hp so it's still $75 after coupon?) This will qualify me for the $15 shell rebate and $8 in 10% rewards, right? In the same transaction I can recycle 5 carts at $6 ea ($30, or $20 more than normal) and 3 generic-hp carts at $10 ea ($30, or $24 more than normal).

$100 - $20 cpn - $20 triple ink promo - $24 generic ink promo - $15 rebate - $8 rewards = $13 "net" cost

I would think I could flip the ink on CL or ebay but I will buy the kind my neighbor who has an HP inkjet uses just to be safe. Of course this does not take into account sales tax, gas, the cost of the empty carts, etc. I did not include the normal $2 of the ink recycling because I could do that at OD where I have been.

It seems I can do this between now and 1/9 (cpn expiration) since the triple recycling was on til 1/7 and now shows again in the 1/8 ad.

Seems about right, yes you get the rewards on top of it. Plus you have the 2 other carts you can recycle which is another $4.

I would suggest you order the ink online though, ink prices are cheaper online and if it is like the past, you have 7 days from order to recycle. Plus you can use a cashback site to cut the cash down.

Thank you for your reply! I am still confused to "requires special SKU for the cartridge". Does this mean that only certain generic will give $10? What exactly do I have to do?
