I have a $130 pair of AX720's that really suck. The sound is only decent (no where near similarly priced headphones, not sure about headsets) and the mic started going in and out for no apparent reason. Its either the boom, the cable to the xbox controller or the entire inline control pod itself. Others online report the same issues.

This AX120 set on amazon has plenty of 1 star reviews related to the earpiece snapping off..

In other words, had I known from the start that Tritton was really just MAD CATZ with a new name I never would have bought them in the first palce.

I'm in the market for a new headset but am going either Turtle Beach or even dare I say it, Rocketfish (their wired set is currently 30 dollars off as well at BB), before getting another mad catz set.

lol yeah good move on mad catz part, mad catz is such a crappy third party brand. tritton sounds so professional but then u realize their headsets are such crap.

Really bad reviews. People say they break right away. Rocketfish products suck too, I have had to return 2 things from them because they didn't work.

no, what happened is Madcatz bought Tritton Technologies. So Tritton used to be a great company.

and apparently Madcatz has cheapened the brand? if you go to older reviews for the Tritton AX720, the reviews are glowing.

I don't know as I don't own any Tritton or Madcatz hardware.
