Was wondering if this would actually work for the touchpad, since there hasn't been any direct car solutions for it yet. (unless you hack an adapter or get a really nice inverter)
If anyone wants to to buy this and report their findings that'd be great.

Thanks. Just hope that it isn't OOS. Mail in rebate is good until Jan 5th so that's not a problem.

Yeah, it doesn't work with the TP and the adapter is shaped so oddly that in only fit in 1 out of my 3 12V outlets. So don't buy this.
