I'm just wondering if there's any other sales happening right now or cheaper refurbs Thanks!
PS. Is there any difference between the Xbox 360 controller listed on Newegg that says PC gaming on it versus the console packaging controller?
I'm assuming it just adds a driver disk and Windows will auto-detect and install this anyways, but I wanted to double check. Why would they sell the same controller in different packaging and make the PC version more expensive?
if you're buying a wireless 360 controller, you need to get a wireless receiver for your pc as well. You'll be fine buying the wired version and just plugging it in to download drivers. And there really isn't a difference between a wired controlled for 360 and one for windows as it says, pretty sure it's just a marketing gimmick.
Amazon[amazon.com] matched Best Buy's price of $35.99 for the wireless controller, $1 less than newegg. For gaming on the PC, you probably want the USB version though. It's $29.99 at amazon[amazon.com] too.
The PC version includes a USB receiver. The controller is the same. You can't use a wireless xbox controller on your PC without the receiver. You can use up to 4 controllers with 1 receiver. The wired controllers are all the same and don't require anything extra.
