Unless your a reseller and need exact item info or need the black label version for some reason this is the original super mario galaxy packaged in a different case, comparable to Xbox's "Platinum Hits" versions. Nintendo just selected a few of it's top selling games and now offers them at lower prices with newer packaging ($19.99 MSRP) so if you want Super Mario Galaxy this would be the same as purchasing the original label for more - save yourself a few bucks and get the Nintendo Selects version.

1) it's basically assumed any deal for super mario galaxy is going to be the selects version, as the normal version is not sold by any retail stores anymore.

other sites show it was $14.99 on 11/26, 12/5, 12/27, 12/30

this was on sale for $14.99 from amazon last week and it sold out in an hour or 2

Actually it does matter. If I purchased it, and after played, if I got bored of it or don't like it I can always get rid of it on eBay to recoup my money. So if the normal version is for $14.99, I will be all over it. But I will pass if it's the Selects version.

Really good point. The selects version is so different from the original package version.
