Flickering on my TV+Xbox

Sokiru 1,785 14 January 2, 2012 at 05:38 AM
So for the past couple days when I go to watch a movie on Netflix through my xbox the TV seems to flicker a black bar accross the bottom half of the screen for a few minutes and then goes away. I want to try to fix this before it gets any worse. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what it might be that is causing this. I initially thought it was my TV (Samsung Plasma that is about 4 years old) but I was watching football all day yesterday and didnt have any problems.

How old is the xbox? Anything before Oct 2008 will have a high chance of failure for the GPU.

I've had problems in the past with the Netflix app. I suggest deleting it and then go to SETTINGS -> SYSTEM -> STORAGE -> highlight your hard drive and press Y and choose CLEAR SYSTEM CACHE.

Restart your Xbox and redownload the Netflix app.
