Looking for XBOX360 games similiar to Portal 2

portal 1, its an xbla title.

What my2k2zx2 said they would like Portal: Still Alive [xbox.com]that is the first Portal game from the Orange Box with 14 new bonus maps.

And they might like Doritos Crash Course [xbox.com] It's a Free and fun game.

Portal is a great game but it is unique no other game comes close so you are going to have to find just kid friendly puzzle games and platformers.

And most arcade games have a free demo on Xbox live so you can try the game first and see if they like it.

They might enjoy Limbo. It's a creepy 2D puzzle platformer. It's visually very different from Portal, and it's 2D, but I think the gameplay is similar. You're solving puzzles, and you sometimes need cleverness and other times you need a bit of agility. It's available either as a download or on a disc. The disc is a collection, the Xbox 360 Triple Pack, with Splosion Man and Trials HD. All three are good games and none are M rated.

And, as stated above, there's Portal 1. Available either as a download, or in the "Orange Box" collection on a disc (which does include some "M" content in the other games, but I think it's less severe than many "M" games),

All 3 of those games are GREAT puzzle games...highly suggested

Splosionman is a GREAT co-op! You have to use CONSTANT team work and when you actually complete a set it is a very rewarding feeling, haha. There is a sequel also, Ms. Splosionman which is better than the 1st but not part of a value bundle.

Trials is single player only, but a crazy hard game on the hardest levels. Very frustrating...you will play 30 minutes and the timer hits max and you got nothing completed.... But the earlier levels are a ton of fun and if you get

Another XBLA puzzler I liked was Braid.

You can DL Psychonauts and Beyond Good & Evil from XBLA and both are excellent games that are fine for kids.

Half-Life 2 is, quite frankly, an epic, intelligent game. Speaking of which, I can in fact read and, further, even suggest you put aside your qualms about an M rated game and make an exception for one of the high water marks of the genre. It is set in the same continuity as Portal (in actuality vice-versa) so they will easily jump into the gameplay as well as the story.

Or you could get them some dumbed down piece of shit instead and blow any chance of positively impacting the intellectual development of your little homeys...but what do I know, maybe Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will stimulate their little cerebellums so intensely that they'll be cranking out dissertations by the time they hit high school. But I wouldn't bank on it...
