Thank you so much for posting this! I was looking for a deal on this TV I just got one at my local Costco! (I'm quite far away from Chicago too so it might be nationwide)

Credit to Jclnas for pointing this out in the 50" LG thread, but Costco has the 50" Panasonic Viera S30 Plasma for $730 - $100 instant rebate = $630 out the door. Picked one up last night with a membership ($55 gets you 2 cards for a year). This comes with a 2 year warranty (Costco added a year), and Costco Concierge Technical Support (whatever that is), along with their 90 day return policy. The $100 rebate should be valid through the 29th of this month, I'm not sure if the base price will hold that long.

For some reason Costco doesn't put many of their TVs online (I looked at their site a few days ago and couldn't find this model, along with most of the TVs they had in the store), so this might be B&M only.

This is not a 3D TV, but it is Wi-fi capable and has an ethernet port for Panasonic's Easy IPTV which looks like it might get you Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Pandora, Facebook, CinemaNow, and Napster. According to their flier, a $40 adapter [costco.com] from NetGear gets you wireless. I'll leave this to those more knowledgeable than me, but this is marketed as a 1080p TV, but it looks like the resolution is 900p according to the specs.

I picked one of these up on BF from Amazon for myself. It has a great picture, but my set seems to be suffering from the brightness fluctuations which was a common problem in last year's line of Panasonic plasmas.

hmmm the S30 uses a grossly inferior technology versus the ST30. Consider this class of plasma along with other ones you see at Frys on sale (except higher end plasmas) as pseudo plasma....I rather buy a cheap LCD over a Cheap Plasma....

In MD Costco charges tax on the coupon too. That is crazy but it appears they do that in a lot of states because Costco gets reimbursed from the manufacturer

You would? So you prefer motion blur and horrible black levels?
