For everyone with the gunk problem, try this. Buy a $1 tube of rubber cement from WalMart and fill in the creases around the brush head with it and allow it to dry before using. This will allow no water or gunk to get through the brush cap so you shouldn't have any more problems with the gunk build up. Of course, this will only work if you don't want to change brush heads because another person uses it. You just need to take a razor blade and cut through it to change the head. I'm sure you could use calking too but the rubber cement seems easiest.
Thanks. Just ordered one for my wife. I've been looking for the replacement head for this toothbrush thinking we can just replace the brush head and share the same machine together. but now I can get the machine for almost the same price with head replacement. Good deal!
feels weird and sensitive the first time I used this. But after couple times, I feel much better and cleaner. Hopefully I don't need dental hygienist service anymore
I've had my eye open on SD for an electric toothbrush for the last couple weeks. This would have been a good price, but I already went with the Oral-B 1000 model for $35 w/FS on eBay. I think the Oral-B 1000 is a better model than the Philips Essence. Nonetheless, good post, OP.
