Hi,
I just found out that the Chase United MileagePlus® Explorer Card when I logged into my United (Mileage Plus) account,at first it says up to 40k miles,because I have 0 mile in my UA account,and then I transferred 1 mile from my Continental Onepass account to my UA account,When I logged in to my UA account again,guess what happened?
Yes,the offer changed to "Earn up to 60,000 Bonus Miles"!

" With this bonus offer you will qualify and receive 50,000 bonus miles after your first use of the card."

Not true. I was an existing Mileage Plus Visa card holder (from Feb '11). They approved my application and then when I called customer service to verify the promotion points they said it was 50k after 1st purchase PLUS 20k after 1st purchase and adding an additional user. So 70k points after first purchase (and added my girlfriend as a card user).

I don't think you have to be elite status,I'm not,and my friends who got this offer were not either.I think you just need to have at least 1 mile in your UA account to qualify.

FYI - I'm not elite yet I got the offer upon logging on to my UA account

i didn't have to transfer or anything, just clicked in to my account.

Ya, that is a pretty big spend to get 10k miles.

I've been going through my UA miles a lot so I may have to pick this card up. Especially as it's about time to cancel one of my other Chase cards

And incase anyone is thinking about doubling up with Continental - United MileagePlus Explorer cardmembers will only receive one 50,000 bonus miles award if they apply for both the United Explorer Card and the Continental OnePass Plus Card after 7/19/2011.

I got the Contiental Plus card with 50k deal (held out from 25k). nevermind, someone answered my question about continental and united card oh TL;DR means "too long, didn't read"
