Ok. Thanks, You mentioned to call them Monday or Tuesday. Why is that ? Smilie
If you applied today, they wont be able to access until Monday or Tuesday. (closed on weekends and takes about 1-2 business days to flow through system). At least that has been my experience.

Can anyone post specific directions for how to transfer the points to the Chase Ultimate Rewards program?

How do you transfer airline points to Ultimate rewards. I thought the points earned on airline cards are automatically transfers to airline miles, Can they be transferred back to Ultimate rewards.

I'm sorry, I was typing fast. I meant to say you can't, sorry about that.

So if the miles can't be transferred to Ultimate Rewards are there other redemption options beside flights like there are with the Southwest Rapid Rewards offer?

You can transfer them to Amtrak (1 to 1) and cash them out for gift cards (10k = $100) if you would rather go that route.

Here is a link to the redemption options for Amtrak: https://amtrakguestrewards.com/redeem

Well, scratch that idea Frown

Effective December 31, 2011, the option to transfer miles and points between OnePass and Amtrak Guest Rewards accounts will cease.

Edit: After a quick Google search, it appears that United and Amtrak are working on an agreement. So a United-to-Amtrak option may be available down the road. Nothing is for certain though.

THanks Ops. Just signed up for the card. I saw the offer 60K after I login my UA account and click on Earn Miles. I don't have to transfer any point at all. Man...I missed the deal for 100K for sapphire or citi. I didn't see the deal at all. I am hoping it would comeback.

The offer showed up for me AFTER I transferred 1 mile from Continental to United just like the OP said. Prior to doing that was the 40K offer. Thanks!

So just applied and was reviewed. Called the application reconsider line and was told I was denied because I had opened another Chase card within the last 6 months (Chase Sapphire Preferred two weeks ago). Yuck!
Anybody with similar experience? My husband also got a Sapphire Preferred two weeks ago. Should we quit applying for this one for him as well?

You should have waited at least 30 days between applications for personal cards. Now you can try to call reconsider department and bag for approval.

It is my understanding that we need to wait 60+ days, just to be on the safe side. Funny this offer came exactly on day 61 after I applied for Chase Marriott.
But I am going to wait and see if it is safe and would get the miles if previously owned United Plus Visa.

If I don't have a Continental or a United miles account, does anyone know of any signup bonuses that could give me a couple quick miles so I can get the 60k offer?

I was denied online but called 888-270-2127 and they approved me for a $4000 credit line.
