South Carolina and Eric Holder to fight over photo voter ID The battle over the South Carolina voter ID law is not over and state leaders say they will take the fight back to the U.S. Justice Department. State lawmakers said they plan to fight U.S. Justice Department for rejecting the controversial voter ID law on the basis of racial discrimination. Kind of funny. Eric Holder is making up numerous lies as evidenced by Indiana and Georgia's experience with voter ID. Incoming colossal court smackdown. |

This wouldnt be an issue if the GOP idiots hadnt re-upped these sections of the Voting Rights Act in 2004 for another 25 years. These yahoos re-upped this egregious violation of states rights, targeted at the states who are largely responsible for having put the GOP into power. With representatives like that, who needs enemies?
The polls were not skewed, biased, oversampled or wrong. I was. There was no wave, no landslide, I was wrong about that too. Nate Silver is the gold standard of polling analysis.

Yes, that was a known mistake. But Pelosi and Obama would have reupped it in 2009 if they didn't. But Section 5 of the VRA is dead and buried if Holder does this. |

Eric Holder's entire legal argument was basically blacks are too stupid and too poor to be able to know they need an ID to vote and therefore would be disenfranchised. I also think that in all of these states, if you can't affrd one, an ID will be provided for free if it isn't already free. I'm also 100% fine with anyone, including Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, etc. and having the state/ cover their free ID if they feel the small fee imposed on them for the ID (if any) would be an undue financial burden on them. Hell, my friend from Mexico City (mexican national) has an ID specifically for voting (in addition to his drivers license). Last edited by Hawk2007; 01-06-2012 at 05:57 AM.. The truth: Management at IRS can blame themselves and how they have chaotic and poor management, but God-forbid you, or I, or anybody else in America gets audited and doesn't have their ducks in order and s***-together, your ass is going to court or jail.
Shout out to Congressman Mike Kelly for stating it as it is... Link [realclearpolitics.com] |

Wait, so you don't have to show your ID to vote in SC? WTH, is that normal? I always do an absentee ballot so I don't actually know. Although come to think of it I don't think I've ever provided an ID to get my absentee ballot either???
F me, even in Mexico you have to register to vote and get something that lets you... Or so the annoying ads I hear daily lead me to believe. |

I don't know what happens if you show up to vote and someone has already voted under your name, cause its never happened to me. |

Well folks, starting now, Obama's homestate, Illinois, where he served as a State and US Senator, you now have to show ID to buy drain cleaner.
http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2012/...n-cleaner/ So, you have to show ID to: - buy liquor - buy cigarettes - get on welfare - get on foodstamps - pickup a RX - buy a gun (even though it's a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT) - ..... and the list goes on. Yet, you don't need an ID to vote. I have a friend who lives in Mexico City and he has a drivers license ID AND a voting ID just for voting. He is a Mexican National. |

In some (all?) states, you need to show I.D. to buy cough medicine. In some states, you need I.D. to get free food at a food bank. And now, in Illinois, you need I.D. to buy Draino. (edit: damn, left the tab open too long before typing and got beat.) Speaking of Chicago voter fraud... If Mayor Daley and three aides were stuck in a crashing plane with only one parachute and they had to vote on who gets to use it and survive, the mayor would win… twelve to six.
