Absolute garbage. The drive teeth failed the third time I used it. Also my partner scratched the bottom of her favourite pot using it.

This seems to be a fairly common problem with this, any idea which other brand might be safer? TIA!

Yeah, but it is Costco - bring it back if it breaks!

I have had this for 15 months or so, it has never given me any problems, I use it to blend ice for shakes and make baby food. Probably gets used about 10 times a week... Just saying that at least not all of them are garbage.

Not recommended by Cooks Illustrated, but hey, it's only $20

Yes, we've used this for a while without problems.

For $20, and with Costco's friendly return policy you can't go wrong...

First of all, since these are steel (as with any other), you rather raise your hand for some clearance between the blendar and bowl/pot contents and do the blending OR simply transfer the contents into another bowl and then do the blending.

I have the kitchenaid variable speed blender that i'm using from past 5 years or so, bought it for $35 from amazon. Strong construction and quality product. I was planning to buy the wisk and chopper attachments for this and wisk alone is $15 and chopper is expensive too. OR I have to go with $80 one which includes all. anyways,

I bought this yesterday after seeing this post from costco. The wisk itself and chopper plastic are cheaply made but the blender shaft seems to be heavy and good. All in all, for $20, its worth it. I tried hamilton beach and other cheap ones from walmart and target and all are junk.... I would rather pick this cuisinart than the other ones. more over its from costco, so what do you have to loose?

b/n, I like my kitchenaid than this one but just because i was planning to buy a small chopper and wisk for existing one, I choose buy this one to save on money. In any case, for $20, don't have to think much.

This is really a great deal. I bought this one for $29.99 just a week ago. I might have to return that and get it at this price. Repped. Thanks.

Just an FYI: I was there in my near by Costco for return and a lady infront of me was trying to return/rebuy aveeno moisturizer since it had coupon. The cashier told her that she would do the price match and said she would talk to the manager. I didn't see this approach with the same costco before when we bought memory foam mattresses without coupon and tried price match (we had buy and return there itself in the old receipt to get for the coupon price).

So, you may want to ask them just in case so that no guilt on either side.
