Installed 8 GB of G.Skill SO-DIMM DDR3-1066 PC3-8500 with no problems. Got these sticks really cheap from Newegg around Thanksgiving.

I filled out the form requesting back up media and they sent me the disks via FedEx to arrive Monday. They sent me:

Second response I've got: Dear XXXXXX, Thank you for contacting Dell Support. System Warranty for hardware parts replacement is still valid until January 18, 2013 wherein the hardware parts replacement is a return to depot service. This is the link with regards to Dell's hardware warranty policy: http://www.dell.com/downloads/glo...042008.pdf This system has the Dell Datasafe Local Backup (DSL) installed that will allow you to make backup /image copies to later reinstall on the system as needed. Since the system was ordered with the "no media" option, that would be the tool to use to create backup disk. Due to the system originally being ordered with no media, for us to send you the Dell branded media, there will be a fee. If you are still interested in obtaining media, please let us know and we can provide you with a price quote for media.To get to the DSL to create your backup media, you should see either a pop up window when you first use the system. If this has been disabled, you should see a startup icon in the bottom right corner that will allow you to launch this tool as well.
