Deal Details

Spoke with CSR on online chat regarding promotions for HBO and other subscriptions services and he told me that my account is eligible for 1/2 off HBO ($8), Starz (6.50), or Cinemax (6.50) for 6 months with no commitment for the entire 6 months or contract renewal. However there is a $5 fee if the services are removed within the first 30 days. You can bundle the 3 together or take advantage of this offer individually. I choose to add HBO and Starz. No current promotions for Showtime Frown.I have taken advantage of the free 3mos of services on prior promotions. Hope this saves some SD's some $$

Currently receiving free HBO in place of STARZ... I still have a month+ left. Wondering if I should push my luck, or wait until I'm closer to my promo end?

Why not sign up for Blockbuster movie pass and then watch movies from HBO, Starz,Cinimax when ya want home or away.

Ha - Your account has apparently been flagged/black balled. I feel your pain - so was mine last year. After many freebies for many years all of the sudden they started treating me differently. It started after I had problems with my two 612 DVRs and had techs to my home 8 times within a year. Finally they upgraded me from one 722 and two POS 612s to one 722 and two new 722K's - and my problems were solved. The last tech out hooked me up with a free Sling, 2 free dual OTA antennas for my 722Ks, 3 free wireless ethernet plugs, and I didn't have to sign a new contract for the new 722k's so I was able to stay out of contract. After that, I was in an apparent flagged status for around a year. I received no love (2-3 attempts) when others here on SD apparently were. Even speaking to the Loyalty dept and threatening to leave, like you did - did no good. They basically read my mind that I actually loved DISH and called my bluff LOL. This time around was the first time in a year they showed me any love.

I'd call the Loyalty dept directly and see what they can do. If that doesn't work, and you want to stay with DISH, I'd give it a lil time to fall off that flagged status you may be on. Don't forget when you call or chat, you catch more flies with sugar and honey than you do with vinegar.

Most people get HBO not for the movies but for the exclusive tv shows. You'd have to wait almost a year to get the shows on disk.

Tried it via Chat and no free or discounted channels. They offered me two free PPV coupons but I declined. Said I really was looking for the channels. Will try calling the "loyalty" department.

Just got HBO STARZ and Cinemax 3 months free via chat...

The main page shows HBO/Starz/Cinemax AND Showtime for new subs. I originally asked for that offer and they gave me 3 out of 4 instead.

You cant just watch it. Hes saying rent the disks of the hbo shows on it but they are all a year old...For example true blood from last summer isnt even out on dvd yet.

Deal is still going though, was offered starz for 6 months or hbo for 6 months half off. I took hbo.

Just got off the phone (after seeing an 'offers' channel on 3xx):

The final result: They gave me 6 months of Starz, HBO, and Cinemax for 1.50 a month. ($4.50 total) I know free is better, but I couldn't pass it up.

The offer was Starz for 12.99/mo and then I would get free HBO and Cinemax, but I passed on getting it, so he offered it to me at half price (6.50/mo and $19.50 total for 3 months), so I agreed and at the end of the conversation he said as our gift to you, we are giving you a $5 credit for the next 3 months woot
