Not great. Think it might snow next weekend. Just came back from Tahoe and that was mostly man made also.

You don't go to Bear Mountain to ride fresh pow anyways so the fact it's a lousy season doesn't really matter. Bear is basically just a snowboard park so shredders can jib the bonks and huck on the hits. If you want fresh pow you go to Mammoth or Tahoe both of which are having horrible seasons so there's no reason to drive there. It's actually probably a good season for the local mountains because you have no reason to drive 5 or 7 hours to ride man made snow when u can just drive 1.5 or 2 and jib locally.

Mammoth is $98/'ride. What a rip over the NYE holiday. Conditions were craptastic. I can't imagine local resorts faring any better. Maybe it'll snow in Feb, but today is gonna be 70degrees!

I get anyday tickets from a local dude for around these prices
