If you need to send or receive money from friends try Venmo.com [venmo.com] (there is also an iPhone app [apple.com]).

The beauty of Venmo is that all you need to sign up is an email and phone number. Then you can use your credit card to send money to someone, and then they can immediately transfer the money you sent to their checking account. Sending and receiving money is 100% free!

The only catch is that it is on an invite only basis right now, so to get an account you must either be invited by someone or you can sign up to get on their wait list.

Either way this sure beats PayPal!

I wish we could use this on Ebay. Paypal is not worth a crap! Ebay charges 9% then their company Paypal charges another 3% then holds your money, and if the customer has a complaint, the money is tied up forever and a day. And the customer can get the item and say something is wrong just to scam people! And Paypal's shipping service never works. I've tried to print shipping labels a dozen times and keep getting an error message. Can't even use the shipping funds that the customer pays to ship the item, you have to pay for the shipping out of your own pocket until the funds clear. I hate Paypal!

dont send more than $100 or they block you, and will give you hard time getting credited back.

Why are people complaining about PayPal? It's free to send gifts. PayPal gives you protection when they charge you.
