Naigra falls Vacation

I think the buffalo, ny area is so unpredictable with weather. The only thing I know is as it gets later in the season hotels get more expensive. If you have kids you definately want to stay at the "complex" that has crown royal, marriot, indoor waterpark and casino niagara because its so easy and all connected, this is right off the main strip of clifton hill where all the attractions are, hotel + waterpark passes are your best bet, and sometime they will include passes to other attractions. http://www.fallsviewwaterpark.com

From my knowledge of staying in hotels and price bidding 4 star for hotwire and priceline all 4 star hotel bids you should enjoy if you go that route, but youll have to pay extra for a fallsview room and there are some great rooms available to look at the falls, some jacuzzi rooms you can sit in your room and see the falls.

May can sometimes be decent, April probably will be too cold.

I actually went last winter and had great time. It was unseasonably warm. To save money, if going to the Canadian side, I'd fly into buffalo and take the city bush/shuttle to the border. I simply walked across the bridge to my canadian Hotel. Big savings in tax and fees. The shuttle was under $10. Great deal. I stayed at a Sheraton got the cheap room and did a handshake for a falls view room.

I live in Western NY (Rochester, to be exact) and would say you are safest if you wait until May. April is unpredictable. It can be 70's and sun or 30's and rain or even snow. Southwest flies into Buffalo, so you can get cheap airfares there and then plan on staying at the Canadian side. Definitely do Maid of the Mist and the jetboat tours are fun too.

Sheraton in new york or in canada? I saw some groupon deals today , is that the one?

Canada . The US side is a dump and very sketchy.

can you share more info on train? you mean amtrack from nyc to DC? is it cheaper that way? any idea?
