I'll post this in the original post as well
Update: after I sent them a e-mail asking them to call me, this is what they replied: " We're concerned about the activity on your account and want to do all we can to and avoid the inconvenience you experience when you purchase from Amazon.com. We contacted you so we could better understand the activity on your account and learn how to improve your shopping experience. Your account remains open and available for your use. We appreciate your understanding, and hope to see you again soon. " Well I spent $400 real fast, $200 is still left, I bought baby items including a car seat, which I didn't need at this time but bought it in panic mode. Lesson learned for next time, avoid those damn price adjustment request and never put all gift cards under the account. |

Guess Amazon is really feeling the pinch to even consider banning people? All I know is come Sept 15, 2012 Amazon's pricing will be about at least 7.25% more expensive for California consumers. Looks like Newegg, Fry's, Microcenter, and your typical B&M stores will be more of a prefer shopping destination than Amazon???

I have heard stories like these before and since then, I have been even afraid to contact them for legitimate concerns.
Amazon is like an online bully! Haha...I did end up contacting them for 2 problems last year and was expecting to get banned after obsessing over threads like these. Didn't happen though, thankfully. One problem was not receiving my whey protein even though it said "delivered." Shipping company was ensenda o ontrack or something. Other was getting a used ps3 in place of a new one. I made that assumption because I thought the box looked opened and re sealed. I raised that concern via chat and the rep gave me one day Saturday...shipping, which I never asked for. I thought I was going to ne banned for that for sure..lol. |

the thing is that amazon outside cust service is set up in such a way that it is easy to cajole/bully them into giving customers too many concessions (for genuine or totally unwarranted reasons) but then they also have this cis team sitting in US who keeps a watch on this sort of activity. Once you get caught up in their algorithm, they don't care to see what the issues were. They just see that you are not profitable enough (or are even a loss) so they cut you loose. That's it plain and simple.
It is exactly like Staples who will let you use all kind of coupons (they dont want to invest any resources in doing a better job there) and later come back and blacklist you. |
