Ginsu has some pretty nice knives--you can get ones with wooden/plastic handles or ones that are completely stainless steel (which I have). They're really nice quality, but if you get stainless steel you need to wash them by hand (it helps them last longer and prevents bad stuff from growing haha). They're easily found on Amazon in butcher blocks or individual sets
You can go for the henckels steak knives which are nice in concern to function and at the same time reasonably cheap.
I don't know if I would consider Henckels to be "reasonably priced" for everyone. If the OP plans to spend that much then they should also consider brands such as Wusthof or Global. I feel they are far superior to Henckels for the money.
