Cabelas
Federal Bulk .22 Long Rifle Ammunition
2100 Rounds
Ammo Can
69.99 + tax + FS if you buy over $99 (aka two)--> code 12FREE

I also went through FW to save myself 3% (cuts my tax in half).

This worked out to be slightly cheaper than what I recently payed at wally world plus I got a nifty ammo can (even prior to going through FW).

They didn't hit you with the additional shipping charge for the weight? I know the code is good for free shipping but not the additional freight charges.

FW is FatWallet.

As for how this ammo rates, it's excellent it shoots in all my .22's.

The Federal in the OP is copper plated hollow point, CCI blazer is just lead round nose. That's the only real difference. They are both very good in my opinion. In the rifles I have, I very rarely have a malfunction with these, especially compared to other brands. As far as .22LR plinking ammo I just look at these two brands and get whichever is cheaper at the time. Occasionally I will spring for the CCI Tactical to run in my AR style .22s though which is a little pricier but it's more accurate and I've had maybe 1 FTF in every 4000-5000 rounds or so.

I've purchased these cases before, and federal makes a great .22 round for 22 rifles and most pistols. The only pistol that doesn't like these is my Walther P22...that's why I cannot wait to get out and try my new Ruger SR22 pistol with this stuff.
I'm tempted to buy a couple more orders of this stuff since I saw this deal posted on SlickGuns this morning!

I never used this in my P22 but I think I'll pass based on what you said. Still a great deal though. By the way, what ammo do you use in your P22?

I've been using CCI MiniMag. I still get some jams, but not as often as with the federal ammo.

Decent deal if you can find another $30 worth of stuff to order. Unfortunately, they don't have anything else I currently need there Frown However, as far as ammo cost goes, Walmart is $18.97 for 555 rounds which comes out to $0.034 cents while this comes out to $0.033 cents. So you're actually not saving anything except you do get a free ammo box with this and that makes all the difference Big Grin
