Heard back from them but it was not good news. I think I will be leaving Sprint and never coming back. Employees are not consistent in what they tell their customers, not sure if this is Sprint way of making money. If anybody has any other suggestions, please advise.

did you get new phones when you went back to sprint?
Yup. Four free Samsung Epic Touch from Amazon.

Time to file FCC and BBB, I'm not sure if they will take our accounts to collections if we just flat out dont pay for it, would they?

I've already filed with FCC and BBB. I verified with CS online and CS at the store and CS at store also verifed with CS on the phone that I would not get the ETF if i came back to Sprint but the charges were still on my account. Very frustrated with Sprint right now.

Just tried the Gevey CDMA chip in the iphone 4s that sprint let me keep. Works like a charm with my AT&T/Straight talk sim card in conjunction with furious mod / gevey sim. I will try this iphone 4s cdma with gsm service for a week. I might end up getting rid of the extra GSM iphone I bought so I could switch over to AT&T and keep the CDMA/GSM iphone courtesy of sprint. I think truly this is the first time this specific sprint phone will see 6.0-7.0mbps of service but alas not on the sprint network but HSPA AT&T/ straight talk.

great, thanks for the information. i am going to be leaving sprint soon also..

i was wondering if you had to program the phone manually in order to have it work with straight talk?

All I had to do was program apn for data (att.mvno) and data was up and running. imessage on cellular and facetime will require some programming of plists and other random crap. Text messages, data, and phone work just fine. Sometimes it was going back to activation screen so I got annoyed of that and installed SAM to hactivate. That only works on 5.0.1 and lower I think and with 5.1.1 it might take slightly longer to aquire signal upon boot up. 5.0.1 and lower seems like the sweet spot and I am glad I did not upgrade it. Jailbreak is required for CDMA version to install furious mod from cydia. You can snipe CDMA genuine gevey sim chips for $12-$20 on ebay all day long.

I gave sprint a call today to cancel they wouldn't let me. Even the manager said they notified me through my invoice and I had 30 days to respond to opt out... Sprint service is really bad..

Yeah...kinda late on this one. I'm sure they'll make some idiotic change again soon, though.
