How does this compare to Model: 60PV250 that best buy had on sale for the same price?

In the market for 59-60" plasma or LED, you think 3D enabled ones will hit the $999 mark anytime soon?

Fry's has (I think) the LG 60PV250 on sale for $799 for the next couple of days. Not for certain, but that seems to be the comments here. Of course, you need to have a Fry's nearby.

I think the overall consensus on the web is that the Panasonic VIERA series Plasma TVs are the cream of the crop.

I was thinking about it at 1099 so I went ahead and got one here for $999. It is supposed to be here Monday and is showing shipped already, that would be impressive...

Price is awesome. Panny 60" for $999 had been target price for a long time. But...

The reviews on Amazon and AVSforums have convinced me to skip this model. Seems the majority of the negative reviews stems from the blinking LED light of death and horrible customer service associated with fixing the problem. I don't want to gamble and be in that situation. And I am a bad gambler.

Another thought that held me off is the comparison between the S and the ST model. It seems the ST model has a much better panel with infinite black tech for extra $$. It may be worth it to wait for the ST model price to drop. Especially with the VT line just released a couple of days ago.

I don't plan on waiting for 8K TV's (16x better resolution than 1080p, as shown at CES), but I intend on waiting for the ST model to drop.
