Deal Details

I went to Autozone the other day to pick up some Mobil 1 to top off my car and expect to pay arm and leg for them. Surprisingly, Autozone got them on special combo deal. Currently, amazon got 6qt Mobil1 for $48.99 which comes out to $8.xx per qt. This is a good deal to stock up. Not sure if this deal is the same online but shipping cost is prolly kills the deal.

Limit 2 oil changes per customer per day. Deal expired on 2/6/12

-Again, I know that the deal for Mobil1 is at least decent and def better than our typical outlets like Amazon. I typed out a full list to let everyone know that there're other options/combo available. I've not checked price on any of these other deals since I didn't need them.
-For online order, I haven't checked but some reported that it can be done via jumping through many hoops. Please read the thread.
-There's also a coupon floating around but the coupon said discount only apply to regular price item. So, YMMV.

Full list:

Mobil 1 Synthetic 5 qt + Bosch filter $29.99 or $33.99 with Mobil 1 filter.

Mobil 1 EP Synthetic 5 qt + Bosch filter $34.99 or $38.99 with Mobil 1 filter.

Pennzoil conventional 5 qt + Fram extra guard filter $20.99 or $22.99 with Fram Tough Guard
Pennzoil high mileage 5 qt + Fram extra guard filter $24.99 or $26.99 with Fram Tough Guard
Pennzoil Platinum Synthetic 5 qt + Fram Tough guard filter $32.99
Pennzoil Ultra Synthetic 5 qt + Bosch filter $34.99 or $38.99 with K&N filter

Valvoline Maxlife, Nextgen Maxlife, or Durablend 5qt + Fram Extra Guard $24.99 or $26.99 with Fram Tough Guard
Valvoline Synpower Synthetic 5 qt + Fram extra Guard $32.99 or $36.99 with K&N filter

They run this every once in a while. I actually can't find a filter for my car at AZ but it was still worth it for the oil alone. Full synth 0w-40 Mobil 1.
I use 0-40w as well. One autozone suggested buy the combo and return the filter. Did that once and got back the full value of the filter.

Can be ordered online but its confusing. It requires you to add any M1 package and then add the correct oil and filter then delete the first combo.

Autozone website is a disaster. And I though Advance Auto's was bad. Anyways, I scored a $25 card a few months ago, for $15. I'll probably jump on the Mobil1 & Bosch filter deal. And yes, it's true, Fram filters are JUNK. That is why they are commonly referred to as the OCOD (Orange Can Of Death). The have cardboard endcaps, and shitty filter material. Check out BobIsTheOilGuy.com.

Also, the Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner is a BOGO. That is good stuff. Might have to pick up a six pack of that shit..

Here in the Costco in California I get 12 quarts of 10W-40 Chevron oil for ~30$ after coupon. I'm not sure how bad the quality of chevron oil is, but it gets the job done for my 1993 camry.

Basically same price they ran every time for these oil combo promotions. The deal comes only when Mobil has any rebate on top during same period.

Thanks for this deal! A synthetic oil change for my S2000 for under $30 is always a good deal! Unfortunately, I only use OEM filters that are $13 each!

This is great news, I need to pick up some Mobil 1 synthetic for my recent engine swap (LS2) so the timing couldn't be better. Thanks!

That is often times pretty hard to find and usually more costly. The Pennzoil Ultra has been getting really good results. I just pick up a couple 5qt jugs at walmart of the Pennzoil Ultra for my G37xS for $27 bucks each. Then I picked up some K&N filters off Amazon.

$8.xx a quart is a deal on this oil? I thought it was always $8/qt. At walmart it's somewhere in the $6-7 range per quart for individuals and even less for the 5qt jug.

Advance had Penz. Platinum + filter for $23.99 last round, and currently has SynPower + filter for the same price (Conventional for $13.99).

Autozone typically participates in the same or similar rebates. It's gonna suck if these are going to be the new oil change specials we can look forward to, cause these really aren't very good deals.

The OP compared his deal to the regular price of $8 per quart. The deal is listed at the bottom.
