I searched and did not see any posts about it. Newegg has the Plextor M3 Series PX-256M3 2.5" 256GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive for $299.99 after $40 off with promo code HARDOCPX118E. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6820249015 It has a good reviews on newegg and an Editor's choice from storage review.

Same controller than the M4 from crucial and performs similar for the reviews I saw. Most likely they are trying to discount them for the new model which is exptected in Feb.

Plextor was THE name to buy when it came to the first several years of DVD ROM drives. They are still considered decent but not what they once were.

Still, at $300 for a 256gig, you are looking at $1.17/gig with the same controller as the Corsair M4 (I believe) and a solid 5 year warranty.
