You know, one lesson here is: why not reload you own ammo?
First of all, reloaded ammo can be as good, and often better, than factory made stuff. Why? Because if you do it yourself, you can do it with far more care than a machine that's designed to crank out tens of thousands of rounds in an hour. I have a Sig 2022 in 9mm that has never fired anything but hand loads. I built an AR 15 and except for the very first two mags, it too has lived on a steady diet of homemade ammunition. I can't prove it's better or more accurate than factory, but certainly every round goes bang. Reloading is not rocket science. Is this Jack Cross stuff as good as ammo reloaded at home? Probably not, but I have no reason to believe it's any worse than factory new ammo. But If you're tired of long order processing times, out of stock calibers, exorbitant ammo costs or just worry about access to affordable ammo in the future, I highly, highly recommend reloading. I always try to point out one intangible that never seems to show up in the hand loading cost/benefit analysis: there's something uniquely satisfying and yet oddly relaxing about steadily churning out one pristine round after another of high quality, reliable ammunition for significantly less than factory new. |

If I end up getting my money back from this Jack Ross order, I'm using the money to cross off more items from my reloading shopping list. |

That sucks that they are going under, after buying all that new equipment too.
I just fired over 300 rounds of the ammo i got from this deal and it all worked flawlessly. I was able to put multiple rounds into the same hole many times with my kahr cm9 at 7-10 yards. Hope they get their issues sorted out and get back to producing ammo. |
