This is a great thermometer and a great company to deal with. For anyone who has concerns about this being open box don’t worry about it. I have a Thermapen that I use with my homebrewing that died on me last week after three years of heavy use and after I sent it back in for them to quote me on a repair they just emailed me the other day that they are replacing it at no charge. 2 years out of warrantee and free replacement 2 days after contacting them just made me buy another for the kitchen!

This is a good price (especially for the splash proof version). I have the older non-splash proof that I got for around $90.
Yes, it seems like a lot of $ for a thermometer, but it's definitely worth it if you cook a lot. It reads a lot faster than most of the cheap ones out there. I've read about some $25-30 thermometers that take about 5-10secs but i'd rather get a thermapen. |
