Your username should be the email address you used when you signed up, and there is an option to have your forgotten password sent to you. I also got this automatic subscription renewal email, and had to sign into my account to cancel what I thought I had already cancelled. Ugh!

Yeah I had canceled automatic renewal last year but I got that renewal notice as well. Tricky tricky. The link in the e-mail doesn't work but if you go here you can cancel auto renewal:

If they're doing something like this again this year I want it. Otherwise I'm just going to pay the $5 or $10 or whatever it is now to get the H&R Block Deluxe.

Thanks for heads up. I got the email even though my subscription expired 7/2012(6 month trial). TD sucks just installing the software last year almost forced me to reformat my computer. I uninstalled right after I got the HR Block software.

Just a FYI. I assume I'm not the only one here that had this happen. I cancelled auto-renewal a year ago. Then late Dec/early Jan (a month ago) I got the "we are turning on auto-renewal" email so I logged back in and turned it back off again. Now this am I see that they billed my credit card $49.99 anyway. I filled out their refund request form and if they don't get back to me within 24 hours I'll be disputing with the credit card company...
