Even you credit card expired, they can charge you old card. The money will go to you new card.
With virtual credit cards, once the virtual card expires, the virtual card can no longer be used, even though the underlying account is still active. Charges made to the virtual account will be rejected. For more information, look here: http://seekingalpha.com/article/4...edit-cards
But, if you provide a merchant your standard CC card number (for recurring purchases for example), if your card is reissued after the expiration date, charges made after the expiration date of the "old" card will be applied to the "new" card, as both cards share the same account number. But, as stated above, this will not happen with a virtual card number.
Did you have to install the CA antivirus last year?
I'm 99% sure I did not, because I keep a log of software that I add.
No, that was not a requirement from last year's deal. I didn't remember installing any CA stuff either, so I went back and double checked. If you bought CA's "PC Tune-Up" program for a penny, you could add the free tax software to your order. You got download links for both after placing the order. I'm pretty sure I didn't even download the CA software.
No way I'm installing the CA antivirus stuff, so I can't figure out how to make this deal work for me.
