That's what I got as well. I have no reason to believe I would be turned down unless they look and see I have two other Chase Credit Cards that I'm not using currently. Not sure if that matters or not. I did open the Chase Freedom last September so it's been within 6 months.

Hm, wondering if I should do this one instead of the Chase freedom then since that one is only $300 back.

Call them and if they give too many accounts as reason, ask them to close one and approve this or move credit from the existing one to new...

So I'd imagine the 1st year you are truly charged.

Can you do both this deal and the $300 chase freedom one?

I got the $250 deal with Chase Freedom and then the $500 deal with Chase Sapphire Preferred within 3 months. I don't think they'll turn me down for this one either.

Annual fee wont match gift card amounts you specified... For 6000 points you will get only $50 worth gift cards... But you can make it better with $100 worth wanna get away fare...

You can get the personal and business line and get the points on each. I did this when the deal first went active. The annual fee is not waived the first year.

My points showed up after I made my first purchase, paid it off in full along with the annual fee that showed up within a few weeks of opening the card, and then received my first statement.

You can have business and personal lines both link to the same rapid rewards number. Once you order the cards, they ship by UPS and should should have em in just over a week or so.

The $99 one has a larger anniversary bonus. That seems to be the better deal if you plan to keep the card longer than one year. If you plan to cancel before the first year is up, then go for the $69 deal.

PS: you can call and have them move up your statement closing date once (without needed a manager's approval.)

If this is true, that is an INCREDIBLE SlickDeal...which I was actually wondering until you mentioned it. I'm really suprised THIS isnt the SD title cause the actual CC deal is standard these days. I already got the $69 card with 50,000 points, but that was about 2 months ago - is the Companion flights status per calendar year or per 12 months?

I'd have to figure out how to get this one approved for $99 (maybe business account?) and then get an extra 10,000...somehow.


EDIT: The companion pass qualifying points are for CALENDAR year only (just checked my account). So if you got 50,000...in 2011 (I got them December 2011) they can not be combined with the new $99 offer of 50,000 points to give you 100,000 for 2012 (Still 10,000 short of Companion Pass). Dealbreaker for me
