The bad battery life and voice quality concerns are blown way out of proportion by a minority of users. Unless you have a faulty phone or (in most cases) some run away apps that are preventing your phone from entering deep sleep mode, you will have very good battery life on the GN.

I've owned mine for a month now and have done lots of testing and battery drain isn't an issue. I've gone 2 days without charging and light use (1.5 hours of screen time). Battery drain is 1-1.3% per hour on Wifi, maybe 2% or so on 3G/4G.

Having said that, I will agree that the radio on the GN is not as good as the one on the Rezound/Razr. Still, my phone gets the same, if not better 3G reception than my original Droid, so it isn't defective by any means. I just think that the Razr and Rezound have gone with more improved radios (assuming this isn't a software, ICS 4.0 issue with the GN).

My wife's Rezound consistently gets faster speeds on 4G than me in areas of weak signal. Still, I wouldn't trade in the GN for any other phone that they currently offer. It is a fantastic phone, and the dev community will ensure that it will perform admirably over the course of our 2 year contracts, long after manufacturers have given up on their phones.

That is a real factor to consider when buying a Nexus device. Just look at the Droid 3, discontinued and abandoned just 6 months after release, with little to no hope of ever seeing ICS.
